Obituary
Graveside services for George Moye Fillingim, 83, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Old Hardin Cemtery in Kountze, Texas. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home with a memorial service of remembrance starting at 7:30 p.m. for anyone wishing to share their special memories and tributes.
George Moye Fillingim of Livingston, TX, passed away October 30, 2014, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 19, 1931, in Kountze,TX to Gene and Letha Capps Fillingim. Preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles Lynn Fillingim; brothers, Doyle, Martin and JP Fillingim; sisters Edna Haynes and Vada Bryant. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Charlotte Ricks Fillingim; son, George Michael Fillingim and wife, Kathleen of Humble, TX; son, Ronnie Lee Fillingim and wife, Sharon of Livingston, TX; daughter, Kimberly Fillingim Dunn and husband, Melvin of Lago Vista, TX; grandchildren; LaDonna Fillingim Stephens and husband, Jimmy of Venus, TX; R. Lee Fillingim of Asheboro, NC; Kelly Fillingim Griffin and husband, Justin of Dallas, TX; Seth Fillingim of Houston, TX; Ashleigh Glover of Sealy, TX and Whitney Glover of College Station, TX; great grand children, George and Elizabeth Stephens of Venus, TX; Rhett Griffin of Dallas, TX. Mr. Fillingim was a 32nd Mason, member of Pine Lodge 642, Kountze,TX. After retiring from Transcontinental Gas Pipeline in 1980, he and Charlotte moved to Livingston,TX.
