With heavy hearts, the family of Robbie Knee, shares the news of his passing.
George Robert Knee, III, 77, was born on July 20, 1947 to George Robert, Jr. and Arlene in Houston and graduated Humble High School in 1965. On June 19, 1965, Robbie married his loving wife, Avy, after being introduced by his brother, Bob, who was married to Avy's sister, Lavon. They settled in Pinehurst where they raised their sons. Robbie worked in the automotive body shop industry for 40 years and the construction industry for 15 years before retiring to their beloved lake house in Onalaska. He had a joy for music and a penchant for listening to vinyl records until the wee hours of the morning. His sons have countless memories of hunting in Pearsall and fishing on Lake Livingston with their Dad. After retiring, Robbie, found a passion for mowing his family's lawns, watering his plumeria and schefflera plants, feeding the birds and organizing his garage. He spent his last years battling Alzheimer's and succumbed to the disease on June 1, 2025.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Avy, sons, Scott and wife Shirley, Chris and wife Holly, honorary sons, Vince Secrest, Mike Boone, and Ricky Grate, Grandchildren Cooper Knee and wife Haley, Hunter Willis and wife Randi, Courtnee Rogers and husband Travis, Mallory Knee, Cole Secrest, Caden Secrest, Anna Jones, Luke Jones, and five great-grandchildren with one on the way. He is also survived by sisters, Sheryl Ann and Sandra Kay, and sister-in-law Lavon Knee. He leaves behind a host of cherished in-laws, nieces and nephews.
He is proceeded in death by his parents and his brothers Robert Wayne "Bob" and Donald Ray.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Point Blank Community Church, 432 Robinson Way, Point Blank, TX 77364.
In lieu of usual remembrances, the family has suggested memorials in Robbie's name to the Point Blank Community Church, P.O. Box 532, Point Blank, TX 77364.
