Graveside services for George Kelly Mann, 85, of Point Blank, Texas, will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the Hoot Family Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas and will be officiated by Brother Glenn Cooksey.

George was born January 13, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas, and passed away at Huntsville Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

He grew up in Point Blank. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and served for four years. He was very proud to be a Marine. He returned to Point Blank and married Lucy McNeil in 1960. They were married for 62 years before she passed away in early 2023. George resided in Point Blank his entire life.

He ran a bulldozer for 63 years and was still working until earlier this year. His favorite things were running a bulldozer and crappie fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents Easley and Mary Mann and his wife Lucy.

He is survived by his daughter Kelly Hoot and husband Len; son John Mann and wife Jennifer; grandchildren Amy Hoot, Bud Hoot and wife Shelbi, and Pierce McNichols; great grandchildren Leigh-Ann and Lynnleigh Hoot; as well as extended family and friends.
