George Thomas Watson Jr.

George Thomas Watson Jr., 79, of Livingston, Texas was born September 9, 1946, in New York City, New York, and passed away on August 15, 2026, in Kingwood, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, George T. Watson Sr. and Edna (Reiger) Watson; and sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Harold Burns.

George grew up in New York and went to Mineola High School. He played baseball and Lacrosse. He joined the United States Navy and was stationed in Guam. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone as an area manager.

He was married for 50 years to his best friend Debbie (Hilton) Watson. He loved and is survived by his son, Brent Watson; son Jason Watson and wife Maris; grandchildren, Jazz Schumate and husband Chance of San Antonio Texas, Dylan Watson and Sarah of Atlanta, Georgia; brother-in-law, Nolen Hilton and wife Kathie of Livingston, Texas; along with many cousins in New York, and numerous other relatives and friends.

George could fix anything and was always working on his house. He loved the Texas A&M Aggies and was a die-hard fan of the Yankees. He enjoyed his trips to College Station with the boys, Brent, Jason, Dylan, and Eric and they would also text together about sports.

His family will miss him!
