Gerald Lavoy Cornett, age 81 of Goodrich, Texas, passed away on July 8, 2013 in Houston, Texas. Gerald was born on July 31, 1931 in Willis, Texas to parents Marion McTear Cornett and Etta Estelle (Dean) Cornett.
Gerald is preceded in death by both of his parents, Marion McTear Cornett and Etta Estelle (Dean) Cornett; wife, Elizabeth Ann Cornett; son, Jerry Cornett; daughter, Karen Cornett; sister, Ercelle Pratt; brother, Arnett McTear Cornett. He is survived by his son, Danny Cornett of Austin, Texas; nephew, David Pratt; and numerous other relatives and friends.
A memorial service for Gerald Lavoy Cornett will be held Saturday, July 13, 2013, at 2:00 PM, at Schwab City Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas. Rev. David Jones and Rev. Chad Sangster will be officiating the service.
