Funeral services for Gilman Lange Abbey, 46, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, June 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Indian Village Assembly of God in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Keith Tucker and Bro. Gareth Abbey officiating. Interment will be held in the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Gilman was born February 20, 1975 in Woodville, Texas to parents, Glen Abbey and Arlene (Battise) Abbey-Thompson, and passed away June 2, 2021 in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Shailey Abbey; sister, Gladys Abbey; and his grandparents.

He is survived by his mother, Arlene Thompson and husband, Ben of Livingston, father, Glen Abbey and special companion, Ida Langley of Livingston; daughters, Gladys Abbey and Tyreni Abbey; sons, Tyray Abbey and Damien Abbey all of Livingston; brothers, Silas Battise of California, Garrison Abbey and wife, Jennie of Livingston, and Gareth Abbey and wife, Tina of Phoenix, Arizona; sisters, Gina Greenlee and husband, James, Glenda Williams and husband, Kyle all of Livingston, and Genesis Abbey of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and his special companion, Vanessa Williams of Livingston, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
