Funeral services for Gladys Janet Surface, 82, of Hillsboro, Texas, will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Beech Creek Assembly of God Church in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Don Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow in the Big Sandy Cemetery in Big Sandy, Texas. Visitation will be held Monday, September 14, 2020, from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.

Gladys "Jan" Janet Surface was born August 7, 1938 in Italy, Texas to parents, Floyd Laymance and Mamie (Perry) Laymance and passed away September 10, 2020 in Fort Worth, Texas.  She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Arvis Jack Tucker; and brother, Gerry Laymance

Jan is survived by her husband, Darrell Gilbert Surface of Hillsboro, Texas; son, David Tucker of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Donna (Tucker) Wright of Livingston, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul Tucker and Donna, Phillip Tucker and Angela, all from Livingston, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Leah Hester and Larry of Waxahachie, Texas, Sherolyn King and Charles of Livingston, Texas; son, Jimmy Surface of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Dean Surface and Karen of Roseville, California; grandchildren, Dale Marsh Jr. and Casey, Jessica Gunn and Eric, Kayla Tucker McKinney, Chase Tucker, Stefani Lolley and Weston, Laura Williamson and Trey, Jenna Butler and Jesse, Tasha Cartwright and Josh, Josh Wright , Rocky Wright and Megan, Eric Williams and Wendy, Shana Smith and Nathan, Craig Williams and Hannah, Grayson Surface and Shomik, Mandy Pathak, Jared Bass and Lindsay, Alisha Holder and David, Lorinda Daigle and Jason, Weston Surface, Whitney Surface, Mariah Surface, Dakota Surface, Avery Surface and Taylor Surface; 34 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Margie Cox and brother-in-law, Bill; sister, Wanda Polk; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry Laymance and Wendy; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Surface will be escorted to her grave by pallbearers Dale Marsh, Jr., Eric Gunn, Chase Tucker, Weston Lolley, Trey Williamson and Joseph Mulvihill.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jaxon Gunn, Daniel Williamson, Haydon Tucker and Kade Lolley.
