Gladys Ann Swinney, age 71 of the Midway Community, passed away on April 19, 2013, in Livingston, Texas. Gladys was born on December 3, 1941, in Port Arthur, Texas, to parents, Leonard and Hazel Brinkley Rucker.

Gladys is preceded in death by both of her parents, along with her sister, Elenor Chenoweth. She is survived by her husband, Dan T. Swinney, of the Midway Community; daughter and son-in-law, Dana Ann Moss and Greg, of Ardmore, Oklahoma; daughter and son-in-law, Dara Lynn Floyd and Chris, of Johnson, Kansas; daughter and son-in-law, Dena Kaye Jackson and Hewy, of Coldspring, Texas; son, Corey Adam Swinney, of the Midway Community; grandchildren, Jesse Colton Moss, Joshua Tyler Moss and wife Samantha, Haley Danielle Floyd, Dylan Martie Floyd, Hewy Elbert Jackson III, Destiny Kaye Jackson, Grace Kaye Jackson, and Daniel Philip Jackson; great-granddaughter, Maci Madison Moss; along with numerous other relatives and friends. Gladys will be escorted to her grave by pallbearers, Jesse Moss, Josh Moss, Hewy Jackson III, Greg Moss, Chris Floyd, Martie Floyd, and Dylan Floyd.

Services for Gladys Ann Swinney will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at 2:00 PM, at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Bro. Hewy Jackson, Jr. will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Midway Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 22, 2013, at 5:00 PM, at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston.
