Goldie Edith Duke, age 105 of Goodrich, Texas passed away on August 1, 2013 in Livingston, Texas. She was born on February 17, 1908 in Yellowpine, Louisiana to parents, John Crafton Jackson and Lydia Maude Brawley Jackson.

Goldie is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, James Arthur (Jimmie) Duke; and son, Thomas Crafton Duke, Sr. She is survived by her children, Jimmy Dale (Jacky) Duke and wife Mae of Goodrich, Ronny Eugene (Bubba) Duke and wife Lois of Goodrich, and Goldie Yvonne (Pet) Duke Pixley and husband James of Goodrich; grandchildren, Doris Lanell Duke, Tony Wayne Duke, Tammy Jean Goodwin, Gary Lee Duke and wife Jill, Thomas Crafton Duke, Jr., Shari Lynn Brent, James Edwin Pixley, Jr. and wife Kathy, Mark Allen Duke and wife Betty, Ronald Craig Duke and wife Ronna, Malinda Lee Pixley, Kimberlee Duke Clack and husband Buddy, Teresa Renee Duke Howard and husband Ralph; great-grandchildren, Amanda Lee Reeves and husband Roman, Stephanie Skeeters, Kathryn Wick and husband Bryan, Joshua Duke, Lindsay Duke, Briana Duke, Kandyce Jones and husband Chance, Lauren Pixley, Dusty Grubbs and wife Veronica, James Brent, Shay Smith and husband Michael, Chase White, Elizabeth Duke, Kathleen Vanya and husband David, Nathan Duke, Michael Pixley, Matthew Pixley, Jimmy Duke, Zack Duke, Shelby Maze and husband Hunter, Allyson Duke, Channing Gibson, Miles Clack, and Zane Howard; great-great-grandchildren, Hunter Skeeters, Madyson Wick, Joshua Gatewood, Raylie Lopez, Trenton Johnson, Brooke Vanya, Skyler Wick, Devin Grubbs, Reagan Reeves, Baileigh Vanya, Elizabeth Grubbs, Ethan Mills, Jenson Jones, Bracie Vanya, Bradley Brent, Jace Jones, Brielle Duke, Brax Vanya, and Peyton Reeves; step-grandson, Ernie Trollinger and wife Vicki; step-great-grandchildren, Kory Gardner and Jordan and Autumn Trollinger; step-great-great-grandchildren, Halle Galloway and Kash Gardner; sister, Dorothy Breedlove; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Goldie will be escorted to her grave by pallbearers Michael Pixley, Matthew Pixley, Jimmy Duke, James Brent, Zach Duke, and Nathan Duke.

Services for Goldie Edith Duke will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 5, 2013, at First Baptist Church of Goodrich. Bro. Tom Owens will be officiating with the assistance of Ed Peacock. Interment will follow at Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas.

Visitation will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday, August 4, 2013, at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
