Hansford ""Lefty"" Lee Yellott, age 87, passed away from this life Thursday, June 7, 2012, in Onalaska, Texas with his family by his side. Hansford was born on May 24, 1925 in DeQuincy, Louisiana, to parents, Luther and Rosa (Lyons) Yellott. Visitation will be held beginning at 5:00 p.m., Monday, June 11, 2012, at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas with Father Clifton Labbe officiating. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery. Pallbearers are Gabe Collier, Chris Collier, Taylor Hollis, Dan Hollis, Joseph Crayton and Keith Gill. Honorary Pallbearers are Tom Hollis, Jim Deaton, Dale Yellott and Ed Sternes.

November 15, 1946, Hansford married Marguerite Smith in Houston, Texas. To this union, three children were born: Lee, Teri and Dawn. At the time of his death, Hansford had been married to the love of his life, Marguerite for 65 years.

Hansford was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Rosa Yellott and grandson, Cole Hollis.

Hansford is survived by his wife, Marguerite Yellott of Onalaska, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Mouscura Yellott of Benin, West Africia; daughter and son-in-law, Teri and Tom Hollis of Onalaska, Texas; daughter, Dawn Robinson of Garland, Texas; brother, Julius Yellott; brother and sister-in-law, Avery and Bonnie Yellott; grandchildren: Jacqueline and Joseph Crayton; Gabe and Jenell Collier; Chris and Brooke Collier, Taylor Hollis, Dan Hollis; Alicia and Keith Gill; great-grandchildren: Jordan, Jadyn, Aiden, Hailey, Sydnee, Jacob and Addison; along with a numerous other family and friends.
