Funeral services for Haskell "Bufky" Sylestine, 77, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Indian Presbyterian Church in Livingston, Texas with Debra Battise Kleiman officiating. Military Honors provided by VFW Post# 8568. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at 6:30 p.m. at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mr. Sylestine was born March 13, 1938, on the Alabama Coushatta Indian Reservation in Livingston, Texas to parents, James Monroe Sylestine and Mincey (Poncho) Sylestine, and passed away March 29, 2015 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Sylestine of Livingston, Texas; sons, Jesus Colon and Ann of Newton, Alabama, Christopher Sifuentes and Mary of Fort Collins, Colorado; daughter-in-law, Debbi Sifuentes and James of Onalaska, Texas; grandchildren, Cody Colon of Fort Campbell, Kentucy, Drew Colon of Newton, Alabama, Cristiano Sifuentes of Fort Collins, Colorado, Nisa and Jesse Rubio of Fort Collins, Colorado, Celestia Sifuentes of Onalaska, Texas, Jenesis Kneeland and James of Onalaska, Texas; along with a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
