Obituary

Funeral services for Henry T. Cook, 83, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Ernest E. Moyers officiating. Interment will begin at 2:15 p.m. in the Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2014 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Cook was born September 22, 1931 in Waco, Texas to parents, O.D. Cook and Rubye Elizabeth (Hurst) Cook, and passed away October 25, 2014 in Onalaska, Texas. During his life, Henry proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was known as Papa and Paw Paw to his family. He was a loving husband, father and Paw Paw. He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Wayne Cook.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Cook of Onalaska, Texas; daughter and partner, Carol Moncrief and Roy Howse of Magnolia, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Mike Sylvester of Tomball, Texas; son, Lee Harper of Onalaska, Texas; grandson and wife, Brandon and Michelle Moncrief of Magnolia, Texas; grandson, J.T. Moncrief of Magnolia, Texas; granddaughter, Katie Moncrief of Magnolia, Texas; grandson, Eric Sylvester of Austin, Texas; granddaughter, Stephanie Sylvester of Tomball, Texas; granddaughter, Katelyn Sylvester of Tomball, Texas; grandson and wife, Jeremy and Jessica Cook of Eddy, Texas; grandson and wife, Clay and Hannah Cook of Robinson, Texas; great-granddaughter, Brooke Moncrief of Magnolia, Texas, great-grandson, Lane Moncrief of Magnolia, Texas; great-grandson, Matthew Cook of Eddy, Texas; great-granddaughters, Hailey Cook and Kylee Cook both of Eddy, Texas; great-granddaughter, Raegan Cook of Robinson, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Ken Sellers of El Mott, Texas and numerous other relatives and friends.
