Services for Herchell Donald Valentine, 79, of Livingston, Texas will be held Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Lee Johnson, Bro. Harold Isaacs, and Bro. Gary Hillyard officiating. Interment will follow at Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.

Herchell was born November 9, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio and passed away December 18, 2023 in Livingston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawson Randolph Valentine and May (Ellis) Valentine; and son, Jason Herchell Valentine.

He is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine Valentine; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Valentine and Brandi, and Kevin Starkey and Mary Pat; daughter and son-in-law, Karen Fletcher and Doyle; sons, Brian Edward Starkey and James Allen Starkey; granddaughters, Falyn and Molly; grandsons, Tristyn and Daegan; and brother, John Edward Valentine; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Michael Valentine, Kevin Starkey, Tristyn Fletcher, Daegan Fletcher, James Starkey, Aaron Valentine, and Doyle Fletcher.
