Obituary
Funeral services for Hester "Smiley" Rhoden, 89, of Highlands, California, will be held Friday, March 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Harold Isaacs officiating. Interment will follow in the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the service begins at 2:00 p.m.
Mrs. Rhoden was born October 10, 1927 in Japan to parents, Naoichi Okimoto and Masuno (Omasu) Okimoto, and passed away on February 8, 2017 in Yucaipa, California. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd Thomas Rhoden; and daughter, Betty Clayton.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Fitzgerald of Highlands, California; son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Karen Rhoden of Huffman, Texas; grandson, Jeremy Fitzgerald of Maryland; granddaughter, Kelly Fitzgerald of San Diego, California; grandson, Joshua Rhoden of Houston, Texas; great-grandsons, Ryan Fitzgerald of Orange County, California, and Christian Fitzgerald and wife, Christina of Beaumont, California; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
