Funeral services for Homer Vertis McDonald Jr., 67, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas with Bro. Dan Summers officiating. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2019, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas.

He was born on November 7, 1951 in Houston, Texas, to parents, Homer Vertis McDonald, Sr. and Arby Evelyn (Reynolds) McDonald and passed away January 12, 2019 in Conroe, Texas. Homer retired from Valerom Film Corp in Houston, Texas on February 29, 2012. In his free time, he loved to go fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Amanda McDonald; and sister, Gwen Baker.

Homer is survived by his wife, Charlene McDonald of Livingston, Texas; son, Patrick McDonald and wife, Allison of Rock Hill, South Carolina; and sister, Elaine Goleman of Phoenix, Arizona; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
