Howard George Barber Sr. 81 of Livingston passed away Wednesday April 30, 2008. A small family gathering will be held at a later date.
Mr. Barber was born April 22, 1927 in Ashtabula, Ohio to parents Harold A. Barber and Ora Mae Turner Barber.
He was a devoted father, husband, and grandfather. Howard was a avid gardener. He was known as the ""brisket and jerky man"". He loved canning peppers, and donating them to his neighbors and friends. Howard was a woodworker, building furniture and novelties.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents, two sons, and a grandson.
He is survived by his wife Geraldine Barber of Livingston, daughters Donna Lee Faulkner and husband David, Mary Lou Barber and partner June, Venice Swigert and husband Kent, Patricia Goff and husband Randy, Lorain Daisy and husband Roger Frers, Cheri Norris and husband Steve, Renea Hopson and husband Glenn, Cynthia Mensah and husband Keith, and Lisa Minnes, sons Howard G. Barber Jr. and wife Kim, and Bobby Cagle and wife Dawn. He is also survived by his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. And last but not least his constant companions his beloved dogs, Taz, Gidget, Misty and Bambi.
