Obituary

Johnson Howard Hilton of Livingston passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at the age of 88. Howard was born September 27, 1925, in the community of West Tempe near Livingston to Walter Carson Hilton and Francisca Augustine Johnson Hilton. He attended elementary school in West Tempe, graduating from Livingston High School in 1943.
In 1959, he married Jo Imogene Richardson in the Livingston First Baptist Church, where he was an active and dedicated member for sixty years. In 1986, Howard retired from Champion International where he had worked since 1947, fulfilling forty years of service.
Howard Hilton is survived by his wife, Imogene Hilton, and four sons, Bruce Ott and wife, Bobbie, of Livingston, Dale Ott and wife, Trish of Neches, Gary Ott of Lakeway and Tracy Hilton and wife, Amy of Livingston. Howard is also survived by seven grandchildren, Courtney Ott Kuban and husband, Robert of Nacogdoches, Adam Ott and wife, Jessica of Houston, Ryan Ott of Neches, Brannon Ott of Neches, Katie Hilton of Livingston, Matthew Hilton of Livingston, and Amber Hilton of Livingston. Two great-grandchildren, Carter Ott and Reese Ott of Houston, complete the immediate family. Howard was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Dorothy Louise Hilton (1925), and his two brothers, Carl Hilton (1968) and Willard "Chap" Hilton (2001). He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Bonnie Hilton of Lufkin and a brother-in-law, Harvey Hargraves of The Woodlands, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home of Livingston. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the Cochran Funeral Home with interment at Livingston's Forest Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Adam Ott, Ryan Ott, Brannon Ott, Robert Kuban, Tom Hilton, and Steven Hilton. Honorary pallbearers are J.T. Grimes, Steve Townley, Matthew Hilton, Bobby Lowe, Leroy Myrow, and Harvey Hargraves.
