Obituary

Mr. Howard Leon Hulsman, 80, of Livingston, Texas was born August 12, 1938 in Holland, Missouri to parents, Harry Hulsman and Martha Edna (Thomas) Hulsman, and passed away July 31, 2019 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters, and 2 brothers. During his life, Mr. Hulsman proudly served his country for a short time in the United States Air Force, but soon enlisted in the U.S. Army where he completed tours in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. MSG Hulsman retired after 20+ honorable years. He then went on to serve the citizens of Angelina County as a Sheriff's Deputy for many years. Even after all his time dedicated to public service, Howard's most rewarding title and duty that he held, was that of Commander of the Disabled American Veterans of Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Hulsman of Livingston; step-son, Clifton Denby and wife, Claudia of Huntsville; step-son, David Denby and wife, Lauren of Pflugerville, Texas; and granddaughter, Delilah Ray Denby of Pflugerville; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
