The family of the Rev. Hugh G. Klodzinski, wife, Shirley; son, Steven Kelly and wife Marie; honorary son, Jason Burroughs; grandchildren, Ryan and wife Miranda, Jacob and Summer, Kaitlyn and Sean; great grandchildren, Kaydence and Levi, mourn the passing of his terrestrial life but rejoice in the entrance to his celestial life with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Along with many other family, friends, neighbors, and church families, he leaves with sorrow and gladness to have known him, his teaching of the Holy Bible, the life he lived, the wisdom, loving kindness, and gentleness he exemplified to all, and his desire to be a peacemaker. He is known as a man of God.
Bro. Hugh (as he is affectionately called) was born October 17, 1936 in the St. Joseph Infirmary in Houston, Texas to father, John G. Klodzinski and mother, Lucille Yorek Klodzinski. He attended and graduated from St. Thomas High School on May 30, 1954 in Houston. He has been the Pastor of the Livingston Gospel Assembly Church since 1978. Bro. Hugh entered into his rest on March 20, 2020 at his home in Livingston, according to his wishes. He stated he was ready to go see his Jesus. He is predeceased by his parents; brother, James William; and nephew, Christopher Klodzinski. He is survived by his sister, Vivian Barrett of Houston.
Cochran Funeral Home is in charge of details pertaining to Bro. Hugh. The family is in charge of the visitation and funeral service which will both be held at the Livingston Gospel Assembly Church, 6758 US Hwy. 190 East, in the Soda Community. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March, 25, 2020 and the service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 26, 2020.
Interment is in the Bluff Creek Cemetery located on Darden Road in the Soda Community, East on US Hwy 190 - turning North onto Darden Road by Soda Baptist Church.
Pallbearers are Brothers, Johnny Bryant, Wayne Reid, Michael McGallion, Walter Woods, Anthony Rodriguez, and Evan Williams.
Officiating are ministers speaking as led by the Holy Spirit.
