Obituary
Graveside services for Hugh Anderson Worthen, 89, of Livingston, Texas will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 18, 2014 at Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas with Bro. Lloyd Lowe officiating. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Honor Guard Post #8568.
Mr. Worthen was born on April 15, 1925 in Goose Creek, Texas and passed away on August 13, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert E. Worthen and Bertha W. (Anderson) Worthen; wife, Eddie Elizabeth Worthen; brother, Roy Worthen; son, Tommy Mounts; daughter, Betty Rouse; and granddaughter, Deanna Mounts.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, John Worthen and Dorothy of Galveston; son and daughter-in-law, George E. Sims and Ann of Galveston; son and daughter-in-law, Hugh Anderson Worthen, Jr. and Kathy of Galveston; son, Richard W. Worthen of Galveston; son and daughter-in-law, Burt Mounts and Debbie of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Alison, Meredith, Shawna, Robin, Matthew, Brandon, George, Denise, Jennifer, Kevin, Kristi, Nathan, and Melissa; along with numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Directions to Magnolia Cemetery: 190 West, towards Onalaska, Texas – Right on 356 North for approximately 1.7 miles – Right at the Magnolia Cemetery road sign, follow road for approximately .5 miles.
