Obituary
Funeral services for Irene Patterson, 84, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Beech Creek Assembly of God Church in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Don Goodwin and Bro. Lucas Swinnea officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Rose Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, August 15, 2014 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. in Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mrs. Patterson was born January 4, 1930 in Polk County, Texas to parents, Arthur J. Nelson and Mertie (Channel) Nelson, and passed away August 13, 2014 in Lufkin, Texas. She was a homemaker all her life. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, W. B. Patterson, Jr.; son, W. B. Patterson III; brothers, Clarence, Ben, Gaston, Edgar, Lester, and Otho Lee; sisters, Verna, Lucille, and Esther; step grandson, Scotty Tooke.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Patsy and Benny Evans, Dee Mearl and Ronald Farrar, Carolyn and Clint Coleman, Brenda and Juan Cruz; daughter-in-law, Teresa Patterson; stepdaughter and husband, Birdie Lee and Billy Tooke; sister, Lillie Espinosa; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family gives a big thank you to The Bradford at Brookside Nursing Home, Memorial Medical Center Livingston, and the Lufkin Specialty Hospital.
