OBIT FOR JACK OLIVER BLAND

May 1, 1936 to September 6, 2012

Jack Oliver Bland, age 76, passed away on September 6, 2012 at his residence in Coldspring. He was born on May 1, 1936 to parents, John Henery Bland and Ethel Mae (Short) Bland in Wellington, Texas. On the seventh day of March in 1975 he married his wife, Earline Poe.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Henery Bland and Ethel Mae (Short) Bland; grandson, Zach Bland Shaw; five brothers and one sister. Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Earline Bland of Coldspring; son and daughter-in-law, Jackie Lee and Linda Bland of Waller; son, Loyd Bland, of Brenham; son and daughter-in-law; Gerald and Kim Bland, of Brenham; son, Fred Morris Bland of Apple Springs; daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Russell Taylor, and Betty and Jackie Taylor, both, of Gage, Oklahoma; daughter, Wendy Litch, of Brenham; daughter and son-in-law, Belinda and Rudy Shaw, of Woodward, Oklahoma. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston beginning at 5:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston with Bro. Dalton Currie officiating. Interment will follow the services in the Laurell Hill Cemetery in Coldspring. Pallbearers will be Shane Lair, Chris Scott, Junior Parker, Donnie Parker, Dustin Shahan, Loyd Bland, Jr., Austin Bland, Daniel Bland, Nick Bland and Bobby Litch.
