Jack James Dumesnil, Sr., 81, of New Caney, Texas was born October 12, 1936 in New Orleans, Louisiana, to parents, Claude C. Dumesnil and Eula (Guilotte) Dumesnil. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, retired from the Port Terminal Railroad with over 30 years of service, and was a dedicated husband, father, and proud poppa. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Dumesnil; brothers, Claude Dumesnil Jr., Clarke Dumesnil, Herbert Dumesnil, Emmett Dumesnil, Ray Dumesnil Sr. and Robert Dumesnil; and sister, Doris Farrell.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Dumesnil of New Caney, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Donna Dumesnil Jr. of New Caney, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Don Bender of New Caney, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and David Sheffield of Magnolia, Texas; grandchildren, Clayton Dumesnil, Kelsey Dumesnil, Riane Cortines and husband, Cohen, Colton Sheffield, Megan Sheffield, and Emery Sheffield; great grandchildren, Rylan Carter and Elijah Cortines; sister and brother-in-law, Claudia and Joe Hollenberg of The Woodlands, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Cecil Kachel of Liberty, Texas; and numerous other family members and friends.
