Memorial services for Jack David James, 65, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Friday, July 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Mike Walker officiating.

On Saturday, July 3, 2021, Jack James, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 65. Jack was born on March 14, 1956 in Livingston, Texas to Glynne James and Patsy (Walker) Yarsa.

On August 15, 1981, he married Maria (Greene) James. They raised one daughter, Christina. Jack's passion was being the best Papa to his two granddaughters and was known for his talents in the outdoors, his heart of gold, his humor, and his infectious laugh. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends while camping, fishing, and hunting for game and fossils.

Jack retired from a successful career in the construction and masonry business and maintained many lifelong friendships throughout his life.

He is preceded in death by his father, Glynne. He is survived by his mother; Patsy, and her husband, Alex; wife Maria; daughter, Christina, and her husband Darren; grandchildren, Shelby and Sydney; brothers, Douglas and Larry; step siblings, Paul, Lynne, Julie, and Joe Yarsa; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
