Jackson Wesley Jones 63, of Livingston, passed away Sunday May 4, 2008 in his home following a short illness''s. His family was at his bedside.
Jack was born to Ellen Lorraine Jones and the late Jackson W. Jones, Sr., August 3, 1941 in Breckenridge, Tx. He grew up in Aransas Pass, moved to Baytown in 1960 and graduated
from Lee HS in 1962. He served our country in the Air Force, during which time he studied the Russian Language at Syracuse University, NY before deploying for Security Duty on the Black Sea in Turkey.
Jack was employed by ExxonMobil Research in Baytown and Baton Rouge, La before retiring to Livingston, Tx in 2003 where he and his wife, Vicki both enjoyed reading, farming, hunting and just ""enjoying life"".
Jack was president of the Kibble Creek Hunting Club in Livingston.
He is survived by his mother, Ellen; his wife Vicki Messick Jones; 4 children, Marnie Hill of Waxahachie, Karrie (Toby) Stanaland of Lufkin; Raymond (Crystal) Jones of Pearland; and Bill (Robin) Jones of Villa Rica, Ga, a stepson Keven (Natalie) Walker of Baton Rouge, La, and a stepdaughter Jennifer (Paul) Leigh of Spring, and also 12 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Caryl Jones Connaway (Morris Joe) of Temple; brothers James H. Jones (Tami) of Dayton, Larry D. Jones (Mary) of Cove; mother in law Betty Messick of Baytown; sister in law KaSandra Messick of Baytown and 13 nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the nurses of Hospice for their compassionate care.
Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston is in charge of cremation. It was Jack''s wish that here would be no funeral service. A get together of family and friends will be held at a later date.
Goodbye, Jack. You were and will forever be much loved.
