Funeral services for Jackson "Jackie" Peters Jr., 74, of Shepherd, Texas, will be held Friday, June 29, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Wayne Landrum officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Rose Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Peters was born November 22, 1943 in Livingston, Texas to parents, Jackson Green Peters Sr. and Waurine LaVelma (Clarke) Peters, and passed away June 26, 2018 in Shepherd, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Yvette Hendrix; and brother, Andrew Peters.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Peters of Shepherd, Texas; son, Steve Peters and wife, Julia of Spring, Texas; son, Paul Thompson and wife, Cheryl of Highlands, Texas; daughter, Shelly Marrs and husband, James of Kingwood, Texas; daughter, Reneé Turman and husband, Gene of Dayton, Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer, Laura, Christy, Brandon, Misty, and Savannah; great-grandchildren, Madison and Levi; brothers, Larry Peters, Ricky Peters and wife, Marilyn, Wayne Peters and wife, Cindy, Randy Peters, and Bobby Peters and wife, Sara all of Livingston, Texas; oldest lifelong friend, Bobby Carter and wife, Emily of Livingston, Texas; and sister-in-law, Becky Peters of Livingston, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
