Obituary

Funeral Services for James Leon Aldridge, age 88, of Livingston will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston. Interment will follow in the Peebles Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.

He was born on November 24, 1923 in Jasper, Alabama to parents, Mart Aldridge and Pear (Maddox) Aldridge and passed away on January 28, 2012, in Lufkin.

James served in the Navy in his younger years and later worked in Construction as a Pipefitter. He was a member of the Pipefitters Local #211 in Houston, Texas for fifty-five years.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Mart Aldridge and Pear (Maddox) Aldridge; Wife, Mary Geraldine Aldridge; and Sisters, Inez Seal, Jean Miller, and Flora Godwin.

James is survived by his Wife, Dorothy Aldridge of Livingston; Son and Daughter-In-Law, James David and Bobbie Aldridge of Harveysburg, Ohio; Daughter, Mary Helen Aldridge of Biloxi, Mississippi; Sister and Brother-In-Law, Mary Elizabeth and Hubert Thomas of Clarksville, Tennessee; Grandchildren, James David Aldridge, Jr., Michael Paul Aldridge, Jerri Durae Wolfe, Kimberly Menna, Vanessa Tatsch, and Jimmy Tatsch; Eleven Great Grandchildren; Four Great-Great Grandchildren; Four Step Children; Five Step Grandchildren; One Great Step Granchild; Brother-In-Law, James H. Godwin; Special Niece, Elizabeth Jean Mabry and Husband Byron. Numerous Other Relatives and friends also survive.
