Obituary
Funeral services for James "Buddy" Barnett, 82, of Carlisle, Texas, will be held Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas with Luke Morgan officiating. Military Honors provided by VFW Post# 8568. Interment will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery in Carlisle, Texas. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 3, 2015 beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service begins at Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas.
Mr. Barnett was born October 13, 1932 in Emeryfield, Texas to parents, Leon Barnett and Ezra Fidellis (Shepherd) Barnett, and passed away April 29, 2015 in Carlisle, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Ruth Morgan and Lieuvenia Berry.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Barnett; daughter, Debra Barnett Freshman; daughter and son-in-law, Joy Barnett Crow and Greg Crow; grandson, Brandon Crow; granddaughter, Morgan Crow; grandsons, Carson Crow, Jason Matthews, and Jimmy Matthews, brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Rose Barnett, Clayton and Pearl Barnett; sisters and brothers-in-law, Belauh and Scott Newport, Shirley and Sherrard Headley; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
