Graveside services for James William Beckner, 89, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held Monday, March 30, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. in the Restland Memorial Park Cemetery in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Steve Waldrep officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2020 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

James Beckner passed from this life on March 27, 2020. He was born in Seymore, Texas to Oscar and Euna Beckner. He spent a short time in the U. S. Air Force serving his country.  He met and married the love of his life Lucile (Wright) Beckner in 1965 in Altus, Oklahoma.

James spent many years working for General Electric in the Houston area. He and Lucile loved to fish and spend time at the lake. This brought them to Onalaska, Texas where they first had a weekend get-a-way and upon retirement made it their permanent residence. James shared a lot of great times with his parents, brothers, nieces and nephews, and friends at Lake Livingston.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Euna; his wife, Lucile; and his siblings, O.L. Beckner, Bob Beckner, and Betty Patterson.

He is survived by sisters-in-law, Rita Beckner and Jane Young, and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.  He was a blessing to long-time friends, Dale and Tammi Didlot and caregivers, Anna Wallace and Brinesha Cooper-Livingston.
