Obituary

James ""Melvin"" Boswell 91 formally of Livingston passed away Monday September 1, 2008 in Humble. Funeral services were held Saturday September 6, 2008 at 11:00AM in the St. Luke''s Episcopal Church in Livingston with Rev. Dorothy Gremillion officiating. Burial followed in the Restland Memorial Park. Melvin was born May 20, 1917 in Flora, Illinois to parents James and Velma Reid Boswell. He was a long time member of St. Luke''s Episcopal Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Ed and Jerry Boswell and also his sister Janell Timmons. Melvin is survived by his wife Wilano H. Boswell of Humble, and daughters Sandy Davis and husband and Gorden of Ft. Meyers, Fl., Judy Munn of Sanabelle Island, Fl., Ann London of Salt Lake City, Utah, Lynn Spiller of Humble, and Patricia Cooper of New Port News, Virginia. He is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were Charles Stroud, Lee Spiller, Nicholas Spiller, Duncan Spiller, Ray Spiller, Raymond Spiller, Harold Timmons, and Winston Thompson. Honorary pallbearers were Tom Barry, Mac Macaulay, Mickey Gilbert, Monty Mitchell, Bill Sorrell, and Jerry York. Cochran Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
