James Allen Byrd, 60, of Livingston, Texas was born February 13, 1966 in Conroe, Texas and passed away February 14, 2026 in Livingston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Loring Byrd Sr. and Dorothy Elizabeth Tutter Byrd; grandson, Nathan Mattox Jr.; and brother, Roy Glen Byrd.

James is survived by his wife, Angela Byrd of Livingston, Texas; son, Loring Byrd of Silsbee, Texas; daughters, Faith Byrd of Texas City, Texas, Melissa Harris and Tyler of Livingston, Texas, and Hope Cates and Bryan of Silsbee, Texas; son, Aaron Cates and Shawna of Vidor, Texas; daughter, Cheyenne Robuck and Aaron of Vidor, Texas; 25 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Russell Byrd Jr. and Lea of Evergreen, Texas; and sisters, Clara West and Pat of Livingston, Texas, and Joyce Cassel and Boo of Onalaska, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
