Funeral services for James Emmett "Elvis" Cones, Jr.,  of Livingston, Texas, will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Jeremy Fletcher officiating. Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. at the Rosewood Cemetery in Humble, Texas.  Visitation will be Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.

James Emmett Cones, Jr., was born January 14, 1954 in Houston, Texas to parents James Emmett Cones, Sr. and Lucille Elizabeth (Bass) Cones and passed away November 25, 2022 in Livingston, Texas.  He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rita Cones; brothers, Richard Cones and Norman Cones.

James is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, James E. Cones, III and Amy of Magnolia, Texas, Tim Cones and April of Leggett, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Lucy Duke and William, Elizabeth Bryan and Josh, all from Livingston, Texas, Christina Kay Cones of Leggett, Texas, Rita Arce and Jason of Livingston, Texas, Barbara Lester and Charles also of Livingston, Texas; mother of his children, Lorena Cones; 25 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and fans.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Cochran Funeral Home to help cover his expenses.
