James Thomas Cowan, Jr., 87, of Corrigan, Texas was born July 8, 1937 and passed away February 27, 2025 in Lufkin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Thomas Cowan and Mary Alice (Burch) Cowan; wife, Carolyn Cowan; son, Gary Cowan; and sister, Jackie Moad.

James is survived by his daughter, Nancy Cowan of Hutto, Texas; sons, Clint Cowan and wife Cathy of Dallas, Texas, Jason Cowan and wife Michelle of Chester, Texas, and Jeremy Cowan and wife Jamie of Chester, Texas; sister, Judy Carlton and husband Terry of Diboll, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
