Funeral services for James Morris Dunaway, 66, of Goodrich, Texas, will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Clay Duckworth officiating. Interment will follow in the Taylor Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m., before the service begins.

James was born January 25, 1956, in Houston, Texas, to parents, James Vernon Dunaway and Mary (Balsimo) Dunaway, and passed away February 11, 2022 in Tyler, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Jean Dunaway; and brothers, Vernon Dunaway, Charles Dyson, and Mike Dyson.

He is survived by his sons, Michael Dunaway and wife Amanda of Houston, Texas, Bryan Dunaway and wife Crystal of Baytown, Texas, and Matthew David Dunaway of Onalaska, Texas; fiancé, Holly Payne of Goodrich, Texas; grandchildren, Brandon Michael Dunaway, Kailei Dunaway, Kara Dunaway, Emma Dunaway, Brayden Dunaway, Cooper Dunaway, Harlee Dunaway, and Ty Dunaway; great grandchild, Elijah Kinsey; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Bobby Ogle of Liberty, Texas; sister-in-law, Pam Dyson of Cypress, California; and brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Sherry Dyson of Liberty, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
