Graveside services for James "Shorty" E. Moore, 65, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in the Brookside Cemetery, located at 13401 Eastex Freeway in Houston, Texas.

Shorty was born November 16, 1955 in Whitwell, Tennessee. He is the son of Peggy Caldwell and Edison Moore. He died August 12, 2021 after a long struggle with various medical issues.

He is survived by his sisters, Judy Willitzer and husband, Ron, Anita Hochstein and husband, Randy, and Sandy Scott; niece, Sara Ann Dover and Elizabeth; nephews, Ronald James Willitzer and Chelsea, Sam Norton, Joshua Scott and Caitlan, and Sean Hochstein and Nancy; along with several great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

Shorty was best known in the Livingston and Houston areas for his locksmith work. He loved his country, hunting, fishing, and animals; but most of all he loved his dogs.
