James (Jimmy) Slone III (84), born January 15, 1940 in Lufkin, Texas to parents James Slone Jr. and Ethel Louise Slone passed peacefully on Thursday, September 5, 2024 in Livingston, Texas.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bonnie Loving Slone; daughter, Bonita Moore & friend Rocky of Spartanburg, South Carolina; son, Jeffrey Slone and wife April of Livingston; grandsons, Mark Moore & Kaila of Laurens, South Carolina; Justyn Slone & Mackenzie of Livingston, Texas; granddaughters, Jessica Martin & Austin of Lexington, Virginia; Allison Johnson & Michael of Onalaska, Texas; sister, Georgia Jones of Maybank, Texas; 10 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives & friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September, 8, 2024, at Cochran Funeral home in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Robert Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at Pebbles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 7, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., at Cochran
