Mr. James Troy Ellis, 75, of Onalaska, Texas was born September 2, 1942 in Houston, Texas to parents, Troy Odell Ellis and Kathryn Jo (Bennett) Ellis, and passed away August 9, 2018 in Onalaska, Texas. During his life, James proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Ellis of Onalaska; daughter, Carla Ellis of Splendora; daughter, Rebecca Ellis of Austin; daughter, Jennifer Ellis Johnson and husband, Shane of Houston; grandchildren, Anais Frank, Robert Criner II, Jesse James Johnson, and Kathryn Johnson; great-grandchildren, Brandon Frank and Dillan Frank; brother, Don Ellis of Onalaska; and sister, Kathryn Morgan of Onalaska; along with numerous extended family and friends.
