Memorial services for James Lee Ener, 57, of Shepherd, Texas, will be Friday, May 7, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post #8568.

Mr. Ener was born September 22, 1963 in Liberty, Texas to parents, John D. Ener and Dottie Lou (Carlton) Ener Sheffield, and passed away April 29, 2021 in Houston, Texas. During his life, he proudly served his country in the Unites States Army. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Grady B. Ener; step-mother, Peggy Ener; and grandparents, Emit and Fannie (Wade) Carlton, James Lee Cress, and Grady and Allie Mae (Brown) Ener.

He is survived by his brothers, Ricky D. Ener of Dayton, Earnest Ener and girlfriend, Nancy of Dayton, and Justin Reeves of Shepherd; step-sisters, Alana Eakes of Kountze, and Dee Chaney of Shepherd; step-father, Wesley Sheffield of Shepherd; and girlfriend, Denise Hawkins; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
