Services for James "Butch" Grant Hobson, 83, of Beaumont, Texas, will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at the First Baptist Church in Silsbee, Texas with Rev. Scott Briggs officiating. Interment will follow at the RS Farmer Memorial Cemetery in Silsbee. Visitation will be held the day of service, from 10:00-11:00 a.m., at the First Baptist Church.

Butch was born, September 15, 1939 in Corpus Christi, Texas to parents, William Temple Hobson and Margaret (Scott) Hobson and passed away on May 28, 2023.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bettie Jane (Hargraves) Hobson of Beaumont, Texas; son, Jim Hobson and wife Deedee of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Kristi Knauth and husband Patrick of Beaumont, Texas; grandchildren, Derek Hobson and wife Stephanie of Livingston, Casey Hobson of Livingston, Texas, Patrick Knauth Jr. and wife Haylee of Ft. Worth, Texas, Kelsey Knauth of Nederland, Texas, Caroline Knauth of Beaumont, Texas; brother, Robert Hobson of China, Texas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Flo Worsham of Hemphill, Texas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Pat Boltin of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; and great grandchildren, Abbey Vega, Graham Hobson, Hallie Vega, and Saige Hobson; along with many loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank our friend, Sherry Martin, for the wonderful care she provided.
