James Aubrey Hill

Funeral services for James Aubrey Hill, 91, of Silsbee, Texas will be held July 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the Pinecrest Baptist Church in Silsbee Texas with Bro. Bill Coffey officiating. Interment will follow at 4:30 p.m., at the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held on the day of service, from 1:00-2:00 p.m., at the church.

He is survived by his daughter, Sherry Woodruff; sons, Wendell Hill and wife Melinda, and Mark Hill and wife Mary; grandchildren, Joseph Woodruff and Kimberly, Amanda Baylock and Derek, Brett Hill and Hannah, Steffanie Glenn, Nicole Schubert and Travis, Taylor Hill, and Aubrey Hill; great grandchildren, Selah, Amaris, Josiah, Adalee, Christian, Peyton, Annie, Audrey, Teagan, Taighlyn, Scarlett, and Julia; sisters, Mona Rae Marsh, Velma Gibson and husband Earl; sister-in-law, Ann Hill; and brother, John Kyle Hill. 

James was saved at the young age of 16 years old. He became a deacon in the church and also worked in insurance sales. He was a proud Army veteran who was stationed in Alaska as a ski soldier. He was an avid reader who also enjoyed gardening and farming.

He is survived by his sisters, Mona Rae Marsh, Velma Gibson and husband Earl; sister-in-law, Ann Hill; and brother, John Kyle Hill.
