Obit for James Thurston Lilley

Funeral Services for James Thurston Lilley, age 80 of Livingston, TX, will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Big Sandy Community Church in Dallardsville, TX. Pastor Irvin Mott will conduct the services. There will be military honors provided by VFW Post # 8568 and a Masonic Graveside by Masonic Lodge #1299 A.F. & A.M., which will be held at the Big Sandy Cemetery following the church service. Pallbearers will be Cory Lilley, Martin Jorgenson, Donny Allard, Dave Trout, Ed Blackerby and Randy Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Keith White, Charlie Eaves and Ken Hooper.

Mr. Lilley was born on July 9, 1931 in Big Sandy to parents Isaac Benjamin Lilley and Sabra Elizabeth Cox Lilley. He married Sandra Jean Krompier on August 10, 1974, in Houston, TX. In 1977, Mr. Lilley was raised as a Master Mason. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ike and Elizabeth Lilley. Mr. Lilley is survived by his wife, Sandy Lilley of Livingston, TX; two sons and daughters-in-law, Andre and Trista Lilley and Donny and Suzie Allard, all of Cleveland, TX; daughter, Sandra Hooper of Tarkington, TX; ten grandchildren, Dana, Mandy, Keith, Amber, Jaimie, Cory, Destinea, Savannah, Theresa and J.D.; ten plus great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Jeannie Lilley and son-in-law, Ken Hooper.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, beginning at 5:00 PM.
