Obituary
Funeral services for James Mays, 64, of Livingston, Texas will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the New Wensley Missionary Baptist Church in Leggett, Texas with Rev. Donald Vance officiating. Interment to follow at the New Wensley Cemetery in Leggett, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014 beginning at 12:00 p.m. until service begins in the New Wensley Missionary Baptist Church in Leggett, Texas.
Mr. Mays was born September 21, 1950 in Livingston, Texas to parents, Morris Mays and Vernice (Jefferson) Mays, and passed away December 15, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father and brother, Morris Mays.
He is survived by his daughter, Kim Mays of Spring, Texas; son, Laquincy Berry of Corrigan, Texas; granddaughter, Kensington Murphy of Spring, Texas; mother, Vernice Mays of Leggett, Texas; brother, Mark Mays of Leggett, Texas; sisters, Johnnice Bunn of Lufkin, Texas, Shirley Perkins of Livingston, Texas, Dessie Williams of Houston, Texas, and Glenda Sue Dirden of Moscow, Texas; brothers, Michael Mays of Corrigan, Texas, Louis Odums of Houston, Texas, and Joe Richard Mays of Houston, Texas; sisters, Peggy Mays of Houston, Texas, Patricia Mays of Corrigan, Texas, and Kathy Dove of Leggett, Texas; brother, Patrick Mays of Lufkin, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.
