A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.

James was born August 30, 1972, in Cleveland, Ohio and passed away January 3, 2026, in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his mother, Deborah and one brother.

He is survived by his wife, Falyn Reel; daughter, Gabriella Hughes; daughter, Jenevieve Reel; son, Maximus Reel; daughter, Aurora Reel; daughter, Alicia Fellenstein; aunt, Dee Sims; two brothers; mother-in-law, Margaret Hughes; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Marie Compton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jonathan Gerena and Elissa Hughes; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
