Funeral services for James Edward Skelton, 93, of Livingston, Texas will be held Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow at Carlisle Cemetery in Carlisle, Texas. Visitation will be held on the day of service, from 1:00-2:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

James was born March 18, 1931 in Garrison, Texas and passed away February 24, 2025 in Livingston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert L. Skelton and Cordie (Dews) Skelton; daughter, Shirlene Little; brothers, Roy Skelton and Linward "Sam" Skelton; sisters, Annabelle Hudman and Ruby Dell Skelton; and grandson, Robert Skelton.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 74 years, Imojean Skelton of Livingston, Texas; sons, Gene E. Skelton and wife Jeanette of Livingston, Texas and James F. Skelton of Livingston, Texas; sister, Sybil Elliott of Garrison, Texas; grandchildren, Kenneth Paul Kimbro, Michael Gene Skelton, Matthew Paul Skelton, Justin Skelton, Aimee Mulligan, Kevin Kimbro, Tamara Kimbro, and Tammy Miller; 15 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great granddaughters; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Michael G. Skelton, Kenneth P. Kimbro, Kyle Kimbro, Kevin Kimbro, Kyle Skelton, and Grayson Mulligan.
