A graveside service for James Thomas "Bucus" Loper, 90, of Houston, Texas will be held Friday, March 29, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas with Bro. Rick Shrader officiating.

James was born October 18, 1933 in Onalaska, Texas and passed away March 25, 2024 in Conroe, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas Loper and Thelma Elizabeth (Tate) Loper; wife, Mary Francis Loper; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters.

He is survived by his sisters, Ima Barnes, Kathy Wiley and husband Leon, and Carolyn Crow and husband Norman; step daughter, Debbie Davis and husband John; and stepson, Charles Roy Proske; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
