James Leslie Tipton 23 of Livingston passed away on Monday December 24, 2007 in Houston. Funeral services were held Saturday December 29, 2007 at 11:00AM in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Frank Hood officiating. Followed by burial in the Bluff Creek Cemetery.

Jim graduated from Livingston High School class of 2002, then went on to graduate from Sam Houston State University in 2006 with a B.A. in Business and double major in Banking and Finance.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers George Truett and Norris Tipton and his uncle James Powers.

Jim is survived by his parents James and Diane Tipton, sister Daisha Tipton, niece Tessa Tipton, grandmothers Peggy Truett, and Marjoria Tipton, great grandmother Aletha Wheeler, aunts and uncles; Patricia Powers, Georgia and Lynn Crawford, Mack and Marion Tipton, Autis and Shelia Tipton, Marcus and Darla Tipton, and cousins Tonja Walding, Jamie Powers, Tricia Ann Vincent, Randee Lynn Crawford, Savannah Crawford, Misty Tipton, Bradley Tipton, Kristie Tipton and Aleisha Tipton.

Pallbearers were Arthur Davidson, Cole Jones, Koby Harrington, Allen Pearson, Rusty Massey and Jake Pike.
