Graveside services for James Carl Whitman, 83, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas with Pastor Reeves officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2014 beginning at 11:30 a.m. until service begins in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas.

Mr. Whitman passed away October 27, 2014 in Onalaska, Texas. James was born March 22, 1931 in Ryan, Oklahoma to parents Carl Roscoe Whitman and Eunice Hauchins.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Mary Driver; son, Ronald Whitman; granddaughter, Ashleigh Whitman; grandson, Jordan Whitman; granddaughter, Sabrina Whitman; granddaughter and husband, Felicia and Jay Grauke; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Lena Corkran; a special family friend, Christine and numerous other relatives and friends.

James was preceded in death by beloved wife, Phyllis and son, Rick Whitman.
