James Whitmire, 78, of Onalaska, Texas was born October 10, 1939, in Houston, Texas, to parents, James William Whitmire and Stephanie Kathyrn (Zurga) Whitmire, and passed away December 19, 2017 in Trinity, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, and first wife, Mary Victoria.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Whitmire of Onalaska, Texas; son, Eric Whitmire of Livingston, Texas; son, Jason Whitmire of Austin, Texas; daughter, Sasha of Houston, Texas; stepdaughter and husband, Susan and Rick Flores of Pasadena, Texas; stepdaughter, Rená Murray of Huntsville, Texas; stepdaughter and husband, Edith and Cliff Roundtree of Huntsville, Texas; nine grandchildren had a very special relationship with Ty and Trey Gongora; and numerous other relatives and friends..
