Obituary

James Floyd Willingham, age 54, passed from this life at this home in Houston on December 4, 2010. Born on August 24, 1956 in Houston, he was preceded in death by his father, Edward L. Willingham, and grandparents, Floyd D. Cloer, Blanche & Carl H. Brunner. He worked as a contractor for the last 15 years.

Jimmy is survived by two sons, whom he loved so much, Ian Gilmour Willingham of Corpus Christi, and W. Oliver Willingham of Houston, His mother and stepfather, Martha Willingham Barfield and Harold of Livingston, brother and sister in law William Carl and Toni Marie Willingham of Houston, grandmother and step grandfather Margie Lee and John Weaver of Livingston, and special friends Kyle and Sara Trahan and George Hardy, Eric Cockrell and numerous friends and cousins also survive. Pallbearers will be kyle Trahan, George Hardy, Eric Cockrell, John McMillian, Ian Willingham and Oliver Willingham.

Jimmy grew up in Houston and attended Cy-Fair schools. He played Little League baseball and football in junior and senior high school, lettering four years. Commended for the National Merit Scholarship, he attended Stephen F. Austin University. His many interests included computers, drawing, athletics and he enjoyed the outdoors and hiking. His special interest was animals. He never met an animal he would not take home with him if it was homeless.
