Graveside services for Janice Marie Clifton, 67, of Goodrich, Texas, will be held Monday, March 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Harold Isaacs officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 6:00 to 9:00 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Janice was born November 9, 1953 in Livingston, Texas to parents, Louie Freeman Hill and Earnie Earlene (Hutchinson) Hill, and went home to be with the Lord on February 24, 2021 in Kingwood, Texas.

Janice met her best friend and soulmate, Thomas Clifton, during her school years at Goodrich High School and fell in love. They were married on August 15, 1974. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed cooking, cards, and dominos. Although spending time with her family brought her the most joy.

Janice retired from the Livingston Independent School District in December of 2018. She could always be found at the front office of Timbercreek Elementary with a smiling face and a kind word for everyone who came her way. Janice loved working with children in the education system. She could also be found coaching her girls' softball teams when they were young.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Janice is survived her husband, Thomas Clifton; daughter, Cheryl Lloyd and husband Travis; daughter, Kay Clifton Lowe; sister, Eva Currie and husband Van; sister, Madine Allen; brother, Louie Hill and wife Linda; sister, Evelyn Celedon and husband Jose; grandsons, Braden Clifton, Blane Lambert, Justin Lloyd, and Ryan Lloyd; granddaughters, Sarah French and husband Zach, and Katie Lloyd; great granddaughters, Oaklynn Clifton and Emma French; along with numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
